In this workshop you will learn about mindfulness and how to use it in your daily life. The workshop incorporates using yoga to release tension from the physical body, meditation to calm and relax the mind, and we learn new tools on how to practise mindfulness, including mindful eating over lunch, mindful walking and the mindful questions. This workshop is for those familiar with basic yoga poses, and are looking to deepen and strengthen their practice. Fiona will bring us through a 2 hour workshop, exploring the poses, taking them deeper and adding adaptations and progressions to many of the everyday poses you are already familiar with. Mother to be and partner attend
Partners can greatly assist the mother-to-be by pressing accupressure points in her body to reduce the intensity of contractions during labour and childbirth. During this 2 hour workshop Therese will guide each mother and birthing partner through the pressure points that can be used to alleviate discomfort during the 3 stages of childbirth and labour.
